Meet
Steve!
Steve Froese
first cut his teeth in the early nineties playing with Quazi and the Motos,
a high-powered Fort Worth rock, funk and blues band. After opening
shows for Foghat and Delbert McClinton, and recording 2 albums for the
group, Steve was called to play for the Six Flags Over Texas shows at the Southern
Palace Theater. Steve performed shows at the theater
for 3 years
before moving on to more studio work and eventually tours. Steve then
started teaching private percussion lessons and performing with the James
Davis Orchestra. He performed corporate functions, debutant balls,
award ceremonies, and even the Van Cliburn Gala. At the same time,
Steve was doing more session work, including performing with The Image, a
jazz and Latin band which
performed at George W. Bush's gubernatorial
inauguration. Steve's name got out even more, getting hooked up with
more studio work which he still does today. He appeared on commercials
and radio jingles, such as 106.1 KBLX in San Francisco, Star-102 in Kansas
City (for singing background) and recently, WSIX in Nashville. Steve
started performing military tours with country singer, Penny Gilley,
traveling to South Korea (twice), Japan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Alaska.
He also performed in Norway for a country music festival. Steve has
also performed with Dallas area pop and jazz bands like Random Axis and
Tropix. Steve is currently performing in Branson, Missouri, teaching private percussion lessons and
recording with legendary guitarist for the rock group, Nazareth, Manny
Charlton. He has just completed four of Manny's latest solo
albums.
